The Dublin Scottish Country Dance Club was founded in 1966 by Scottish expats living in Ireland. The club has remained continuously active over the years and we now have members hailing from Ireland, the UK, and various other countries around the globe. We are a Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) Affiliated Club.
We dance every Thursday at 20:15, with Step and Formation Practice held most weeks before class at 19:30. Any changes to Step Practice will be indicated on our News & Events page and on our Facebook (see bottom of page for links to social media). Additional class details can be found on our FAQ page. 2026 marks our 60th anniversary! Our last event to mark this occasion is our annual family Ceilidh 2026 in September. Thank you to all who came to our annual dance in June and our Anniversary Tea Dance in August.
We are always happy to welcome visitors and new members of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are an experienced dancer or a complete beginner, come join us and, in the words of the RSCDS, #DanceScottish!
Thursday evenings at 20:15. The first two classes you attend are FREE and after that it is €5 per class.

What to wear/bring? Comfortable clothing and light, soft shoes with a non-slip sole or ballet pumps (preferable). DO NOT wear big/heavy shoes, hiking shoes/boots, or shoes with a high heel. Your feet need to be able to move safely. No partner necessary. Come alone or with friends!
Ample onsite parking. Safe bicycle storage. E2, 63, L25, 111 bus stop directly outside the church hall. 15 minute walk to Dún Laoghaire Dart station.
